Great bass is still an integral part of any music and theater system. Home Theater demands earth-shattering bass response. SpeakerCraft BassX series of floor standing subwoofers incorporate long throw woofers, which deliver the deepest possible bass response, extending down to the 20Hz range. These high power subwoofers boast 150 watt and 250 watt robust amplifiers. Each subwoofer is designed for huge bass response, easy system setup and flexibility. They feature line level inputs to connect to most any receiver or preamp, a continuously variable low pass crossover so you can adjust the subwoofer to match the bass response of your main speakers; adjustable phase switch and a proprietary SpeakerCraft bass boost circuit.
Both models are equipped with a fixed high-pass crossover circuit to cut off the bass to the front (main) speakers so the upper bass will not overlap, thereby avoiding booming.
